The brief

Provide ongoing design support for their marketing department across all marketing promotional material.

Collaboration

My work with OceanWise involves me operating just like an inhouse designer. I design all of their marketing collateral – leaflets, brochures, invites, exhibition banners and stationery.

Being their go-to designer makes life easy for the Marketing Manager, Katie Eades, and means I really get to grips with their branding.

Katie and I work seamlessly together via an online project management tool called Asana. This enables her to upload new jobs with the brief, reference materials and the all-important deadlines.

Flexibility

I work with OceanWise on an hourly basis. This works brilliantly as they only pay me for the hours they need me – some months it’s super-busy and others a little quiet. Workload depends on events and other marketing activity they are running, so flexibility is key. And the beauty of using Asana to manage the jobs is that we can both plan ahead and see where the peaks and troughs are.

Benefits

We’ve been working together for over 3 years now. The great thing about working regularly with OceanWise is that I really get to spend time emersed in their brand. The more I work with them the more this benefit grows and the greater our working relationship becomes.

Helen knows our branding and style inside out

She is fast and professional and always on the same page as us which means that she creates exactly what we need so quickly and often with little direction. She is an invaluable part of the team and I really don’t know where I would be without her!”
